With St. Patrick's Day around the corner I wanted to add some green and gold to my décor and try making a simple tissue paper garland. I made my first pop-pom garland for Valentine's Day so I chose to do something different for St. Pat's.
I bought three packages of tissue paper from Dollarama choosing dark green, light green and gold. You will also need a good pair of scissors, a hot glue gun and string or twine to complete the garland.
I decided to make 4 additional dark green and gold tassels and strung them on some twine.
There you have it, a very easy and affordable holiday craft!
Other décor ideas for St. Patrick's day include adding some green and gold touches to my bar top and framing some free printables found online.
Here are a few of my favourites;
St. Patrick's Day is another one of those "holidays" that is overlooked by some, but I love any excuse to decorate and celebrate, especially in March! The years have changed how we celebrate. When I was a university student, St. Patrick's Day usually consisted of some sort of pancake kegger and partying outside for the first time all winter. These days, it is much more low key especially when it falls on a weekday. I still like to celebrate with some green food and drinks and of course seasonal décor ;) How will you be spending your St. Patrick's Day?
