It's officially fall y'all! Welcome to my favourite season :)
I was so excited to pull out my fall décor last week and visit farmer's markets to gather pumpkins and mums. This vintage autumn set up at my local farmer's market is amazing!! Driving past this everyday has made me so happy. I can't wait for the leaves to changes, I will be in my absolute glory!
I love decorating my front porch, especially for Fall!
I kept it pretty simple this year with some mums and pumpkins. The last two years I have been loving these flatter white pumpkins and these minty/aqua guys.
With every season change, I swap out my couch pillows for colours that are more fitting. My bright summer pillows have been replaced with deep orange and browns. And my pinks and aquas have also been changed for neutral, natural hues.
I love to rotate décor items and keep the pieces not in current use stored away in my spare room closet. It's so fun to "shop" my own stuff, bringing out things that I haven't seen in a few months. Each year I find myself buying less and less for seasonal décor. I have gotten to a place where I am happy with the items I have on hand to style with some fresh flowers and pumpkins. I don't like to go too overboard in terms of décor either, just touches here and there.
If you didn't already know, baby boo pumpkins are my absolute favourite!
Of course I love a few seasonal printables to frame. I don't have too many out yet, but will for Thanksgiving and Halloween.
I picked up this print and frame at IKEA recently which is perfect for fall.
The weather is finally starting to feel like fall, too! The temperatures have dropped, the windows are open and I have officially said goodbye to my sandles. I have also started making some of my favourite fall recipes and using the crockpot each Sunday. And pumpkin spice lattes have been my jam! I find myself working out of Starbucks more and more now that they are back :)
Unfortunately I will be working Thanksgiving weekend but hope to make it to at least one family turkey dinner. I am so bummed as this is my favourite season and holiday (aside from Christmas). I just might have to try cooking a turkey myself. How hard can it be, right?!
