Life Lately

If you follow me on Instagram, you have likely seen my recent posts apologizing for my absence from the blog. Our puppy, Poppy has been home for a month already and she has been the focus of ours lives lately. In addition to having an adorable and energetic pup to train and cuddle, I spent the end of May in Dubai celebrating my sister and her fiancée's engagement! Our trip was short but it was so amazing seeing the incredible sights of the middle east and meeting our new family. We can't wait to return to celebrate their wedding in the New Year!

Here are some snaps of what life has looked like lately and why projects and blogging have been pushed to the back burner;

If vacation and a new puppy aren't excuse enough, living in a beach town on Lake Erie hasn't helped my productivity. With summer right around the corner, we have been taking advantage of the awesome weather enjoying walks in the village,  listening to live music on local patios and having friends and family over to our backyard. I also celebrated my 28th birthday at the beginning of June and we attended our first wedding of the season this past weekend.

This is my first year of blogging and I don't want to disappoint anyone but also have to maintain some sense of balance within my life. I already have a to do list a mile long for fall projects :) As the weather cools down come September, I will be itching to continue lots of my interior plans. Stay tuned for some upcoming 'Throwback Thursdays', small house projects and an update on our gardens. And cheers to the beginning of Summer!
